Senior Session Information
How do you price senior sessions?
- I have a base price of $600 for a senior portrait session. This can be any amount of time up to 90 minutes. You are allowed 1-3 locations and unlimited outfits within that time frame. If you choose to add more time to your session in order to accommodate more locations or looks, I charge an additional $100 per each half hour. You can expect approximately 75 images for each hour of shooting, all delivered as digital downloads via an online gallery. Turnaround times vary, depending on the time of year, though you can expect your full gallery delivered roughly within 3-4 weeks of the session. *I will communicate my turnaround time with you at our session for a more accurate estimate.
Can I include sports or special interests in my photos?
- Yes of course! This is the best part of senior photos, showcasing what makes you, you! New this year I am offering dynamic sports sessions as an add-on to any senior session. These will take place on location (field, gym, course, pool, etc.) and will use a combination of lighting techniques and other special effects to create unique, one-of-a-kind portraits and/or action shots. This will all be done on the same day as your senior session, so please keep that in mind when scheduling. Please plan on adding at least 30 minutes ($100) to your session to accommodate the extra travel and set-up time. You are welcome to shoot multiple sports or activity portraits, I will advise on the amount of extra needed when planning your session.
What time of year is best?
- Anytime! It all depends on what YOU want. Think about the look you prefer and plan from there. A few tips = June & July are great months to book, especially if you play a fall sport or have school/work obligations at the end of the summer. August is a great month for anything flower related (they're all in bloom!), September may sound like fall, but the weather is still very summer-like and tends to look like it until almost the end of the month, October weather is all over the place, proceed with caution! November is also definitely still an option if you don't mind dressing warmer (coats, hats, pants, etc.).
What kind of availability do you have this summer and fall?
- June - weeknights available, best time of day = late evening around 6/7pm - FULL
- July - weeknights are best, possibility of weekend availability, best time of day = 6pm) - FULL
- Unavailable July 1-5
- Unavailable July 13-18
- August (weekday and weekend availability, best time of day = 5/6pm) - FULL
- September (select weekdays available, best time of day = 5pm) - FULL
- this is my busiest time of year, rescheduling for weather can be difficult if your availability is limited
- October (weekday availability only, best time of day = 3/4pm) - FULL
- the weather gets cold and dark quickly after the first 2 weeks of the month, and with the early sunsets I would have to start the session around 3pm if we needed at least 2 hours
- November (weekends are best, best time of day 2/3pm) - 1 session available
Can I purchase any add-ons?
- Yes, I have custom USB drives available for purchase. These are engraved with your text of choice and will contain your digital images upon delivery. It's a wonderful keepsake and great way to save your images. The cost to purchase is $75. More information is available upon request.
What do I do now?
- Check your calendar to narrow down your desired dates. I prefer to book your session for 2 consecutive dates (the second as our rain/backup date).
- Consider the availability of your desired locations (if possible), for example, if you want photos taken on the football field at your school, think about when it's most likely to be available for use.
